PFP Ireland is the specialist contractor of choice for penetration sealing, or firestopping, in Dublin and across Ireland.

Penetration sealing is a fundamental component in the fire safety design of every building.

Correctly installed and certified fire stopping systems restore in fire-rated walls and floors the gaps caused by the installation of cables, pipes and ducts for air-conditioning, electrical and communication systems.

By restoring effective compartmentation, fire stopping systems contain the fire at source, limiting the risk to lives and property.

The quality of both the products and the installation are critical to the performance of any firestop seal.

PFP Ireland’s unique end-to-end PFP Assure service ensures the correct use and installation of the world’s leading fire stopping and penetration sealing products. It also provides the most comprehensive and hassle-free solution for full certification and BCAR compliance. Read more.

Depending on each project, we deploy fire stopping solutions including:

sealants

Sealants

The Protecta range of water-based polymer sealants are designed adhere to virtually any surface, providing fire stopping around building gaps, moveable joints and around service penetrations.

batts

Fire batts

Fire batts are lightweight panels which, when properly installed with fire-rated sealant, prevent the passage of fire and smoke between flexible walls, rigid walls and floors while still allowing the installation of services.

Wraps, sleeves and collars

A comprehensive range of fire collars, sleeves and wraps provides penetration sealing around the majority of pipe materials including PVC, PP, HDPE and PE.

Mortars and compounds

Fire resistant mortars and compounds reinstate the fire resistance of rigid floor constructions where they are penetrated by various cables and metallic pipes.

Water-based Coatings

Water-based coatings have been developed for use on stone wool as an alternative to pre coated batts. They offer excellent fire, water, air permeability and elastomeric properties, allowing for service penetration openings containing metallic pipes, cables, cable trays and trunkings.

Cavity Barriers

Cavity barrier systems made from high density Rockwool stone wool are suitable for use in all cavity walls, and for fire stopping between a curtain wall system and a concrete floor slab.
